# Invite Someone to Authorize an Amazon Account

Canonical page: https://www.kuudo.com/docs/invite-amazon-account-owner/

If you need a brand, client or advertising manager to grant access to an Amazon account, invite someone who can approve access to authorize it for your Kuudo organization. The recipient signs in to Amazon and approves the requested permissions directly, without sharing their Amazon login or creating a Kuudo account.

## Before you start

- Sign in to Kuudo and select the organization that should receive the authorization. Only organization owners and administrators can create and manage invitations.
- Confirm that the recipient can approve access to the intended Amazon account. An invitation connects that account; it does not add the recipient as a user of your organization.
- Choose **Amazon Selling Partner** for Seller Central or Vendor Central, or **Amazon Ads** for an advertising account. Each invitation connects one authorization. To connect both products, create a separate invitation for each.
- For Selling Partner, know the account type and marketplace. For Amazon Ads, know the account's region. These selections are included in the invitation.

## Create and share an invitation

An external invitation gives someone a link to approve an Amazon authorization for your organization. The recipient does not need a Kuudo account. This invitation connects an Amazon account; it does not add the recipient as a user of your Kuudo organization.

Organization owners and administrators can create and manage invitations.

1. Open **Authorizations** and select **Invite External User**.
2. Choose **Amazon Selling Partner** or **Amazon Ads**.
3. For Selling Partner, select the recipient's account type and marketplace. For Amazon Ads, select the appropriate region. These choices are included in the invitation and cannot be changed by the recipient.
4. Optionally enter a **Customer reference** to help your team identify the invitation. The recipient will not see it.
5. Select **Create invitation**.
6. Select **Copy link** and send the link to the person who can approve access to the Amazon account. Kuudo does not send an email automatically.

The invitation expires after **seven days**; the confirmation screen shows the expiration time. Share the link only with the intended recipient: anyone who has it can use or forward it. Copy the link when it is created; it is not shown again in the invitation list. If you lose it, create a new invitation and cancel the old one if it is still pending.

## Complete an invitation

If someone has asked you to authorize your Amazon account:

1. Open the invitation link. You do not need to sign in to Kuudo.
2. Check the name of the inviting organization and the Amazon product, account type, marketplace, or region shown. Continue only if you trust the organization and the details are correct. If they are not, ask the sender for a new invitation.
3. Select **Continue to Amazon**.
4. Sign in to the Amazon account you intend to connect. Review the permissions Amazon requests and approve access if you agree.
5. Return to the confirmation page. When you see **Amazon authorization complete**, the authorization has been registered with the inviting organization.

If the invitation has expired or been cancelled, ask its sender for a new link. If you decline access or an attempt does not finish, you can reopen the same link and try again while it remains valid. If the account is already connected, contact the sender.

## Check or cancel an invitation

Owners and administrators can find invitations in the **Invitations** section of the Authorizations page. The list shows the Amazon product, status, customer reference, and expiration date. It may also show information about the most recent attempt.

| Status | Meaning |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Pending** | The invitation is available and has not been completed. |
| **Processing** | An authorization attempt is in progress. |
| **Completed** | The Amazon authorization was registered with your organization. |
| **Cancelled** | The invitation was cancelled and can no longer be used. |
| **Expired** | The invitation has passed its expiration time and can no longer be used. |

To stop an unfinished invitation, select **Cancel invitation**. Cancelling an invitation does not remove an authorization that has already been completed. To remove a completed authorization, follow the [authorization removal steps](/docs/amazon-authorizations/#review-refresh-or-remove-an-authorization).

## Troubleshooting invitations

- **The invitation link is unavailable:** It may have expired or been cancelled. Ask the sender to create a new link.
- **Amazon authorization did not finish:** Reopen the invitation while it is valid. If it continues to fail, ask the sender for a new link.
- **The wrong Amazon account was connected:** Ask the organization to review and remove the authorization if necessary, then create a new invitation for the intended account.
- **The account is already connected:** Ask the organization to check its existing authorizations.
- **You cannot create or manage an invitation:** Check that you selected the correct organization, or ask an owner or administrator for help.
