Amazon Seller Assistant Plugin vs Kuudo: Ads, Data

Amazon Seller Assistant is Amazon's AI on Amazon's terms: Amazon decides its tools, its AI clients and its pace. Choose it if Amazon's own tools have served you well. Choose Kuudo if your AI should run ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central and seller work from your own cloud, in every marketplace, and move as fast as AI does.

Kuudo facts come from the Kuudo MCP servers reference and the pricing, DPA and Agent Flow pages. Amazon facts come from Amazon's Seller Central help page for the plugin, its September 23, 2026 announcement, its selling-partner-agentic-toolkit repository and AWS's Quick pricing page, with the date each was checked.

It pauses at every fee-charging or irreversible step for your explicit choice, starting from FulfillmentInbound_createInboundPlan.5

Selling on Amazon How does the Subscribe and Save program work?Amazon's help page for the plugin says the assistant "Searches Amazon selling documentation and returns relevant guidance."2Agent Atlas is the reference layer your agent consults before it acts: it retrieves Amazon operating knowledge, and the agent is told to prefer retrieved playbooks over generic model knowledge and to say when the corpus does not support an answer.13
Beyond a seller assistant
Amazon Ads Can it run my Amazon Ads?Not published for the plugin. The announcement lists listing contributions, performance metrics, inventory and sales analytics as what the plugin connects. It says Seller Assistant can connect a product's performance "to an advertising or cross-promotion opportunity", and names no Amazon Ads account connection through the plugin.1711 Amazon Ads operations across Sponsored Products, Brands, Display, and TV, plus DSP, the unified Ads API v1, attribution, and reporting, through the Amazon Ads MCP.6
Amazon Marketing Cloud Can it query Amazon Marketing Cloud? Not published. The announcement and its list of what the plugin connects do not mention Amazon Marketing Cloud.1Yes. Amazon Marketing Cloud queries and audiences run through the Amazon Ads MCP.7
Vendor Central Can it run Vendor Central work? Not published. The announcement addresses sellers and says the plugin is in beta for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores. It does not mention Vendor Central or vendors.140 Vendor Central operations: purchase orders and acknowledgements, direct fulfillment, shipments and invoices, transaction status, Retail Analytics, Data Kiosk, and A+ Content.7
Creative Can it generate listing and ad creative, images and video? Not published for the plugin. The announcement describes reading and acting on listings, performance, inventory and sales, and names no image or video generation through the plugin.1Yes. Agent Iris generates listing images and product video through Google Gemini, OpenAI image models, and Google Veo 3, audits an image against listing rules, publishes to the listing, and confirms Amazon took it.14
Playbooks Does it come with playbooks, and can I write my own?Seller Assistant Workflows. The announcement says "Sellers describe what they need in plain language, set guardrails, and the workflow goes to work", starting from prebuilt templates that "monitor account health, summarize orders, analyze pricing trends" or from scratch. Running a workflow through the plugin in Quick or Claude, and exporting one, are not published.119 Skills (2 Kuudo-certified) span Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, DSP, creative, profitability and seller jobs. Each states the job, the inputs, the outputs and what it is not for, and you can write your own in the same format.12
Operating knowledge Does it bring Amazon know-how to the job?Eleven skills and three commands for the plugin, published as readable SKILL.md files under Apache-2.0, each with an eval set: seller analytics, stockout prevention, FBA inbound management, five listing skills, inviting secondary users, support cases, and Selling Partner API knowledge, which answers developer questions "grounded in the SP-API documentation".3Agent Atlas supplies curated Amazon operating playbooks and rules that your agent retrieves before it acts.13
Your data Where does your account data end up?To your AI client, outside Amazon. The help page says the account and related data "is sent to and processed on systems outside of Amazon's control, subject to your AI assistant's terms of service and privacy policy. Amazon is not responsible for how your AI assistant handles your data once accessed." An export, history store or warehouse sync is not published.2Agent Flow lands your Ads and Selling Partner data in a data lake in your own cloud, on schedules you set, and Snowflake, Athena, DuckDB, Databricks, Power BI, and Tableau can read it downstream.11
Where you use it Which apps can I use it from?"We are launching the Amazon Selling Partner plugin in Quick and in beta with Claude, with more integrations to follow." The announcement says Seller Assistant's memory "follows sellers wherever they work—whether in Seller Central, Amazon Quick, or Claude", and adds: "Our vision is that sellers can use the AI agent of their choice to help them run their business, and we will make it easy for them to do so."1Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, n8n, or any MCP client.9
How it runs, and how you buy it
Where it runs Where does it run?Amazon's own endpoint: the toolkit README registers the Amazon Selling Partner Connector (MCP) at sellingpartner-ai.amazon.com/mcp. A self-hosted option is not published.3In your own cloud account. The DPA commits that your cloud resources connect directly to Amazon, that the AI client you choose connects directly to them, and that neither path proxies, relays, or routes through Kuudo infrastructure.8
Approval What happens before anything changes on Amazon?Seller Central's help page for the plugin says "Actions require approval by default" and "You can limit the assistant to answers only." It adds: "You are responsible for all actions taken by the agent, whether or not you directly initiated them."2Write tools validate input, apply your workspace policy, and may require explicit human approval before a change reaches Amazon. Every tool call records the user, agent, parameters, result summary and approval state in a run log.7
Pricing model How is it priced? No price for the plugin is published. On the Amazon Quick route, AWS lists Quick Plus at "$20 / user / month billed annually; $25 / user/ month billed monthly", so each person who signs in is a seat.4Kuudo Community is free for one instance of each Amazon MCP server in your own cloud. Kuudo Pro is $0 a month plus $0.95 per 1,000 Amazon API calls, and Kuudo Scale is $249 a month plus $0.55 per 1,000 Amazon API calls, with seats included in each plan. The calculator models a month for a brand owner, an agency or aggregator, and an automation-heavy seller.10
Seats and organizations How many people and accounts?Per seller account and per user. The help page says "By default, account owners and administrators can authorize the plugin", through the account's Manage Agents page, and requires an "Amazon selling account on a Professional selling plan". An agency or partner model is not published.2Kuudo Pro: up to 25 seats across 5 organizations. Kuudo Scale: up to 50 seats across 10 organizations. Enterprise: unlimited.9
Free tier Can I try it free?A launch offer. The help page says: "Connect with Amazon Quick to get a free Quick Plus subscription. Primary sellers get 1 year free (up to $720 value). Other sellers get 30 days free. This offer is available through December 31, 2026."2Kuudo Community is free with no time limit: one instance of each Amazon MCP server in your own cloud, with no usage charges.9

Their fit

Choose Amazon Seller Assistant if

Real situations where Amazon Seller Assistant is the better buy. If one of them is yours, buy it.

  • You want Amazon Quick Plus free for a year, alongside the plugin.

Amazon's help page says primary sellers who connect with Amazon Quick get a year of Quick Plus free, which it values at up to $720, and other sellers get 30 days, through December 31, 2026. AWS lists Quick Plus at $20 per user per month billed annually. Amazon names no price for the plugin itself, and Claude is the other way in. If Quick is where your team will work, the offer covers its first year.

  • Amazon's own tools have served you well, and you want its AI to work the same way.

If Seller Central's reports, dashboards and recommendations have been enough, Seller Assistant carries that same approach into AI. Amazon builds the assistant and writes its skills, its workflows start from Amazon's templates, and the announcement says its memory follows you from Seller Central into Amazon Quick and Claude. If Amazon's way of running the business is the way you want to run it, the assistant Amazon built fits.

  • You want Amazon to set the scope: which tools, which AI, and when.

The plugin is Amazon's own: it runs on Amazon's endpoint, sign-in is the Seller Central consent flow, and the assistant "can only use tools allowed by your Seller Central roles", per Amazon's toolkit README. Amazon chooses what it covers and when it grows, and the announcement says more integrations will follow. If a scope the marketplace operator sets and maintains is the assurance you want, it is Amazon's to give.

Our fit

Choose Kuudo if

Where Kuudo is the better buy. Amazon's plugin brings your seller data to the AI clients Amazon has integrated. Kuudo brings Amazon's own operations for the whole job to the AI client you choose, from your own cloud. Beyond a seller assistant, you get your Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central, image and video generation, ready-made and custom Playbooks, Amazon operating knowledge, your own data lake, and the AI clients you want to use.

  • The whole Amazon job

You want one AI for the whole Amazon job, in every marketplace: Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud and Vendor Central beside seller work.

Selling Partner: 304 operations. Amazon Ads: 711 operations across 53 services, including Amazon Marketing Cloud. Vendor Central: 40 operations. Listing images and product video through Agent Iris, and Amazon operating knowledge through Agent Atlas. Amazon's announcement describes the plugin connecting listings, performance, inventory and sales, and publishes no advertising, Amazon Marketing Cloud or Vendor Central coverage for it, and it is a beta for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores, with international expansion to follow. Kuudo reaches every marketplace your accounts reach, across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Beyond a seller assistant, the same agent runs the rest.

  • Your AI client

Your AI should move at the pace of AI, not at the pace Amazon sets.

Amazon's announcement says it well: "Our vision is that sellers can use the AI agent of their choice to help them run their business, and we will make it easy for them to do so." Amazon still decides the rest: its plugin runs in Amazon Quick and, in beta, Claude, for sellers in its U.S. stores as access rolls out, with the tools Amazon's connector allows and the skills Amazon writes. Kuudo is a platform built for the pace AI moves at. It connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, n8n or any MCP client to Amazon's own operations across ads, seller and vendor work, so when a better model, client or workflow ships, your team uses it on your schedule, not Amazon's.

  • Your rules

Your AI should be able to question Amazon's answer with the rest of your business.

Amazon's assistant works from Amazon's seller data, with skills Amazon writes, and its Workflows let you add plain-language guardrails. Good decisions often come from pushing back: test a recommendation against your own history, check a restock number against your margin and ad spend, ask what a report leaves out. That takes data Amazon has not published for its plugin: your history in your own data lake, Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud and Vendor Central. Kuudo's 19 Skills (2 Kuudo-certified) are one of the most comprehensive public Amazon Skill collections, across that whole job, and you write your own in the same format. Your team's judgment runs beside Amazon's data, not under it.

  • Ownership

The deployment, the data and the history should be yours.

Kuudo provisions private MCP servers into your own cloud account. Your cloud connects directly to Amazon, your AI client connects directly to your cloud, and nothing routes through Kuudo. Agent Flow keeps the history in a data lake you own, which your warehouse and BI tools can read. Amazon's help page says plugin data is processed outside Amazon's control under your AI assistant's terms, and it publishes no export or warehouse for it. Private. Trusted. Owned.

  • Control

What the AI may do is a policy you wrote, with a record you can read back.

This one is close. Amazon's help page says plugin actions require approval by default and the assistant can be limited to answers only, and its announcement names complete audit trails. Kuudo's write tools validate input, apply the workspace policy you set, and may require a person's approval, and every call is recorded with the user, agent, parameters and approval state in one run log across the ads, seller and vendor servers. How much you automate, and who does the work, is your call.

The differences that matter

5 questions that decide it.

Each one opens with the answer, then what each product does, then what it means for the person doing the work.

Can I use Amazon's Selling Partner plugin from ChatGPT?

Amazon has not published a ChatGPT integration. It launched the plugin in Amazon Quick and, in beta, Claude, with more integrations to follow. Kuudo connects ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, n8n or any MCP client to Amazon.

Amazon Seller Assistant

"We are launching the Amazon Selling Partner plugin in Quick and in beta with Claude, with more integrations to follow." The announcement names no other AI client.

Kuudo

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, n8n, or any MCP client, connected to servers in your own cloud.

What it means for you. If your team works in Claude, both products reach it there. If it works in ChatGPT, Cursor or an automation tool, Amazon has not published a plugin for it, and Kuudo connects it now.

MCP client configuration

Does the Selling Partner plugin cover Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud or Vendor Central?

Amazon has not published that it does. Its announcement lists listings, performance, inventory and sales as what the plugin connects. Kuudo reaches Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central and seller operations from one agent.

Amazon Seller Assistant

Listing contributions, real-time performance metrics, inventory levels and sales analytics, per the announcement. Advertising, Amazon Marketing Cloud and Vendor Central coverage through the plugin is not published.

Kuudo

711 Amazon Ads, 304 Selling Partner and 40 Vendor Central operations, with Amazon Marketing Cloud queries and audiences through the Amazon Ads MCP.

What it means for you. Whether to keep bidding on a product that is about to run out is one question that needs the ads account and the inventory in the same conversation. On Kuudo that is one agent on three servers.

Amazon's Ads MCP Server compared

What does Amazon's plugin cost next to Kuudo?

Amazon publishes no price for the plugin. The Amazon Quick route is priced per person, with a free Quick Plus year for primary sellers through December 31, 2026. Kuudo is priced by Amazon API call, with seats included in each plan.

Amazon Seller Assistant

No plugin price is published. AWS lists Quick Plus at $20 per user per month billed annually or $25 billed monthly. Amazon's launch offer gives primary sellers who connect with Quick a year of Quick Plus free, up to a $720 value, and other sellers 30 days, through December 31, 2026.

Kuudo

Kuudo Community is free. Kuudo Pro is $0 a month plus $0.95 per 1,000 Amazon API calls with up to 25 seats across 5 organizations, and Kuudo Scale is $249 a month plus $0.55 per 1,000 Amazon API calls with up to 50 seats across 10.

What it means for you. If your team works in Claude, its Claude plan costs the same with either product. The difference is on the Quick route, which is priced per person, and on accounts: Amazon authorizes per seller account and per user, while one Kuudo plan covers several organizations.

Kuudo pricing

What happens before the AI changes my Amazon account?

Both can make a write wait for a person. Amazon's plugin requires approval by default and can be limited to answers only. Kuudo's write tools apply the workspace policy you set, which decides when a person must approve, and record every call in a run log.

Amazon Seller Assistant

"Actions require approval by default" and "You can limit the assistant to answers only", per the help page, and the announcement says every plugin interaction has "human approval on actions, and complete audit trails." The help page adds that you are responsible for every action the agent takes.

Kuudo

Write tools validate input, apply your workspace policy, and may require explicit human approval before a change reaches Amazon, and every call is recorded with its parameters and approval state in a run log.

What it means for you. This row is close to even. The difference is reach: Kuudo's policy and run log span the ads, seller and vendor servers, so one record covers the whole job.

Read and write tools

Where does my Amazon data go, and what history do I keep?

With either, what the AI reads goes to your AI client. Amazon's help page says that data is processed outside Amazon's control, and it publishes no export or history store. Kuudo's Agent Flow keeps the history in a data lake in your own cloud.

Amazon Seller Assistant

The account and related data "is sent to and processed on systems outside of Amazon's control, subject to your AI assistant's terms of service and privacy policy", per the help page. An export, history store or warehouse sync is not published.

Kuudo

Agent Flow lands your Ads and Selling Partner data in a data lake in your own cloud on schedules you set, and your warehouse and BI tools read it downstream.

What it means for you. Live reads answer today's question. Owned history answers next quarter's, and it stays in your account if you change tools.

Amazon Agent Flow documentation

Running both

Pick one connection for the seller account.

You can add both to Claude, because MCP clients hold several connections at once. We would not run both on the same seller account: two connections that can write mean two approval paths and two records for the same changes. If seller operations in Amazon Quick or Claude are the whole job, Amazon's plugin covers it. If the job includes ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central or another AI client, run it all through one connection on Kuudo.

Methodology

How we compared

Every fact on this page links to the page that states it, with the date it was checked. What we could not verify is listed, not guessed.

Competitor facts come from pages the competitor publishes. Kuudo facts come from Amazon Selling Partner MCP tools reference, Amazon Ads MCP tools reference, Kuudo MCP servers reference, Kuudo data processing addendum, Kuudo pricing, Kuudo pricing calculator, Amazon Agent Flow documentation, Amazon Agent Skills reference, Amazon Agent Atlas documentation, Amazon Agent Iris documentation. Planned work is cited to the roadmap and worded as planned. This page compares tools. For the job itself, see what your AI does with a listing once it is connected; for Kuudo's side of it, see Amazon Agent Skills and the Amazon Selling Partner MCP.

What we could not verify

  • The connector's full tool catalog is not published; Amazon's public skills repo shows the skills, not the catalog. No cell on this page infers what the plugin can or cannot do from what the skills call.
  • Whether the plugin reaches Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud or Vendor Central data: Amazon's pages describe seller data and publish none of the three, so the cells say not published rather than not offered.
  • The price of the plugin itself: Amazon's pages offer a free Amazon Quick Plus year and name no price for the plugin. Whether the plugin works on Amazon Quick's free plan is not published.
  • Whether one AI client can connect several seller accounts, which matters to agencies: not published.
  • Where a seller reads the plugin's audit trail: the announcement names complete audit trails and does not say where they appear.
  • Amazon's help page for the plugin is readable only when signed in to Seller Central; its wording on this page was read signed in on 2026-09-26.

Frequently asked questions

Questions sellers ask before choosing between Amazon Seller Assistant and Kuudo.

What the selling partner plugin for AI assistants is, which AI clients and Amazon jobs each one reaches, agencies and several accounts, your data, and what each costs.

Is Amazon Seller Assistant better than Kuudo?
For seller operations inside Amazon's own assistant, in Seller Central, Amazon Quick or Claude, with a free year of Amazon Quick Plus on offer, Amazon Seller Assistant and its Selling Partner plugin are the better fit. For one AI that runs Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central and seller work from the client you choose, with the servers and the history in your own cloud, Kuudo is. The rows on this page are how to decide.
What is Amazon's selling partner plugin for AI assistants?
It is Amazon's Seller Central plugin for Claude and Amazon Quick, which Amazon also calls the Seller Assistant plugin: it connects your Amazon seller data and Seller Assistant to an outside AI client, so you can ask about sales, inventory, traffic and listings without returning to Seller Central. Amazon launched it on September 23, 2026 in Amazon Quick and, in beta, Claude, for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores on a Professional selling plan. Amazon's toolkit README calls it the Amazon Selling Partner Connector (MCP), and Amazon publishes eleven readable skills for it on GitHub.
Does Amazon's Selling Partner plugin work with ChatGPT, or outside the U.S.?
Not yet. Amazon names Amazon Quick and, in beta, Claude, with more integrations to follow, and publishes no ChatGPT integration. The plugin is a beta for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores, with international expansion to follow; Seller Assistant inside Seller Central has rolled out to over 90% of selling partners worldwide. Kuudo connects ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, n8n or any MCP client to Amazon's own operations in every marketplace your accounts reach, across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Does the Selling Partner plugin cover Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud or Vendor Central?
Amazon has not published that it does. Its announcement lists listing contributions, performance metrics, inventory and sales analytics as what the plugin connects. Kuudo runs Amazon Ads through the Amazon Ads MCP, Amazon Marketing Cloud queries and audiences through the same server, and Vendor Central through its own MCP server, beside seller operations.
Can an agency connect several seller accounts?
Amazon publishes no agency or partner model for the plugin. It is authorized per seller account and per user: by default, account owners and administrators authorize it through that account's Manage Agents page. Kuudo Pro covers up to 25 seats across 5 organizations and Kuudo Scale up to 50 seats across 10, priced by Amazon API call.
Where does my data go, and can I keep the history?
With either one, what the AI reads goes to your AI client. Amazon's help page says plugin data is processed outside Amazon's control under your AI assistant's terms, and Amazon publishes no export or history store for it. Kuudo's servers run in your own cloud and call Amazon directly, and Agent Flow keeps your Ads and Selling Partner history in a data lake you own.
What does each one cost?
Amazon names no price for the plugin. On the Amazon Quick route, AWS lists Quick Plus at $20 per user per month billed annually, and Amazon's launch offer gives primary sellers a free year and other sellers 30 days, through December 31, 2026. In Claude, your Claude plan costs the same with either product. Kuudo Community is free for one instance of each Amazon MCP server in your own cloud; Kuudo Pro and Scale are priced per 1,000 Amazon API calls.

The bottom line

Put the AI you already use to work on the whole Amazon job.

Amazon's plugin brings seller data to Amazon Quick and Claude. Kuudo connects ChatGPT, Claude or the client you prefer to Amazon Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor Central and seller operations, from your own cloud, with writes waiting on the policy you set. Kuudo Community is free.
