Amazon API Call Pricing: Cost per 1,000 Calls

Learn how Kuudo prices Amazon API calls per 1,000 across Managed MCP and Private Cloud, what counts toward usage, and how to estimate costs.

Updated Nov 1, 2026 5 min read

Kuudo prices Amazon API usage using cost per mille (CPM): a rate per 1,000 calls across Managed MCP and Private Cloud. A call is an outbound request to the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) or Amazon Ads API made through Kuudo on your behalf. Your plan determines the rate, any included usage and any monthly fee.

Cost per 1,000 calls is an API usage rate

Cost per mille means cost per thousand. For Kuudo, the unit is an Amazon API call: a request made through the Amazon Selling Partner API or Amazon Ads API on your behalf. Your usage charge depends on the number of calls made and your plan’s rate.

The Amazon Selling Partner MCP and Vendor Central MCP access Amazon's Selling Partner API for supported seller and vendor work. The Amazon Ads MCP accesses the Amazon Ads API for supported advertising work. Your AI client coordinates the workflow, and the Amazon API requests it makes through Kuudo determine the usage count.

Calculate the usage charge

Calculate the usage component from the number of billable calls and your plan's rate:

Usage charge = billable Amazon API calls ÷ 1,000 × price per 1,000 calls.

Account for any usage included in your plan, then add its monthly fee, if any. For example, at the published Private Cloud Pro rate of $0.95 per 1,000 calls, 10,000 billable calls yield a $9.50 usage charge. Pro's monthly fee is $0, so the Kuudo plan fee plus this usage charge is $9.50 for that example. It excludes costs billed directly by other providers.

Published Private Cloud plan examples

The published Private Cloud rates are:

PlanMonthly feeAmazon API usage
CommunityFree10,000 free Amazon API calls per month
Pro$0/month$0.95 per 1,000 calls
Scale$249/month$0.55 per 1,000 calls

Enterprise pricing is custom. Refer to Kuudo pricing for current Private Cloud plan details and use the pricing calculator to estimate a month from your expected work. Managed MCP uses the same per-1,000-call pricing mechanism; contact the Kuudo team for its plan rates and terms.

What counts as an Amazon API call?

Each outbound request to an SP-API or Amazon Ads API endpoint counts as one call, regardless of Amazon's response. Read and write requests follow the same counting rule. One instruction to an AI client or one MCP tool invocation can result in one Amazon API call, several calls or no Amazon API call, depending on what happens in the workflow.

SituationHow it affects the call count
Read a record or send an updateEach outbound request to an Amazon API endpoint counts.
Retrieve multiple pagesEach request for a page counts separately.
Work across marketplacesSeparate requests to Amazon for each marketplace count separately.
Request an asynchronous reportThe request and each status poll sent to an Amazon API endpoint count. The number of polls varies.
Amazon returns a throttle or errorThe outbound request still counts. A retry that sends another request counts again.
Use a cached resultA result served without a new Amazon API request does not add an Amazon API call.
Refresh an authorization token or perform a health checkAuthentication plumbing and health checks are not billed as Amazon API calls.

For example, if one task sends one request for the first page and two requests for subsequent pages, it makes three Amazon API calls. If an additional retry is sent, that makes four. This example shows how to count requests; actual workflows and volumes vary.

Estimate the work before running it

Start with the task your team wants to run, then consider how often it runs and how Amazon returns the data. A report requested once a day has a different call count from one requested across several accounts or marketplaces. Pagination, report status checks and retries add requests when they occur. A historical backfill also counts the Amazon API requests it makes.

The pricing calculator provides scenarios for building an estimate. Treat its output as an estimate: the actual count depends on the requests made during your workflow. Your team chooses its AI client, access, Skills and workflow; Kuudo provides the connection to the authorized Amazon APIs.

Separate Kuudo's meter from other charges

Kuudo's usage meter counts Amazon API calls across Managed MCP and Private Cloud. Your AI client, model provider, cloud provider or warehouse may have its own charges under your agreement with that provider. Those costs are separate from the Kuudo Amazon API usage calculation. For creative generation with Amazon Agent Iris, review the model-provider costs as well as any Amazon API calls used by the wider workflow.

See the pricing FAQ for the published billing rules, or contact Kuudo to discuss your deployment and terms.
